Sierra Nevada, is one of the highest resorts in Europe, boasting an excellent snow record, warm sunny weather, value for money and doorstep skiing! Skiers are treated to spectacular views from the top of the Veleta across to the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlas Mountains of Morocco! Despite the resort?s southern situation, its high altitude ensures good snow cover all winter - with the added aid of plenty of snow-making equipment. Our Opinion
Sierra Nevada is a great, fun place to be! There is plenty of skiing to keep intermediates and beginners occupied. Good value, great ski & snowboard school and distinctively Spanish atmosphere make it a wonderful place to visit and the recently completed half pipe completes the area for snowboarders. The resort has a modern sports centre for relaxing tired muscles and the distinct atmosphere of Sierra Nevada allows for a fun and enjoyable holiday.

    World Snowboard Guide
    Sierra Nevada is well suited to beginners and carvers as well as offering some cool off-piste freeriding in the powder bowls. In Borreguilles there is a fanastic beginners piste whilst higher up, the slopes are at the perfect angle for free carving! Freeriders should check out the area just below the Valeta and travel the off-piste itinerary known as "Tajos de la Virgen"!
