It is worth crossing the Equator for both.\n\r\n\rPortillo is a beautiful spot that has been welcoming guests for over 50 years, close to the Argentine border. As a self contained resort with no nearby towns, slopes are uncrowded and it is a favourite with all levels of skiers. The ski school has a great reputation for all levels, whether this is just the first time you have put on your skis or require intensive intermediate and advanced ski clinics.\n\rValle Nevado has the largest ski acreage in the Southern Hemisphere, only 37 miles from Santiago. Linked to the ski areas of El Colorado and La Parva, this is the "3 valleys" of South America. It is an intermediate's paradise but with challenging slopes that entice ski teams from around the world. |
