A traditional unspoilt resort with a good lift system, uncrowded extensive slopes linked to La Rosiere in France and a relaxed apres ski scene. Suitable for all standards of skiing, La Thuile?s wide open slopes and long runs back to the village provide magnificent views of Les Arcs and the Tarentaise Valley. Most of the better skiing is to be found on the Italian side where crowds are minimal, pistes are quiet and lift queues almost non-existent thanks to the resort?s modern, fast and efficient lift system.

Skiing Short Breaks in La Thuile

Our Opinion
La Thuile has excellent, uncrowded slopes that are ideal for beginners and intermediates, but experts are also catered for amidst the 150km of skiing offered by La Thuile and its linked French resort of La Rosière. La Thuile has a small traditional centre; however it?s main activities centre around the Planibel complex, where our reps will provide an appealing après ski programme.

    World Snowboard Guide
WSG rates La Thuile as a good general freeriding resort. It offers a vast range of possibilities that include long off-pistes in fresh powder, black runs with steep vertical drops and perfectly prepared slopes for carving. For beginners, apart from a couple of small nursery slopes, the main easy runs are located above the Les Suches area, served by chairlifts rather than drags.
