Bled is an appealing old town set on the edge of a beautiful lake. The 17th century church Maria of the Lake (pictured above) adds to the fairytale atmosphere. The ski area of Straza is reached from the centre of Bled by chairlift whilst the ski areas of Kobla and Vogel are a scenic half-hour bus ride near Lake Bohinj. The beginner skier will find the slopes ideal, and Bled offers a delightful range of activities for non-skiers. Bohinj is a stunning lake surrounded by the magnificent Julian Alps and a small cluster of villages and hamlets. Close to the skiing this is a real Winter Wonderland.

Low prices and excellent beginner skiing make our Slovenian resorts ideal for first time and novice skiers. With a wide range of winter activities they are also ideal for non-skiers. Kranjska Gora is particularly well suited for families as the nursery slopes are close to the hotels.
