Our Opinion Soldeu is a great place to start wintersports or to improve on skills already learnt. The ski school is excellent - rated the best in Europe by ?Which? magazine and there is an abundance of British and Australian instructors. The gondola, conviently located in the centre of Soldeu (next door to the Thomson T-club), takes all standard of skiers to the higher slopes whilst El Tarter boasts its own high speed chair lift. Everyone is well catered for with a wide variety of runs. The resort bars are a great place to spend an evening - lively and duty free! Après Ski Price Check World Snowboard Guide Freeriders will find that Soldeu offers the best terrain in Andorra - especially for off-piste. Freestylers are offered a half pipe and park, and plenty of cool natural hits to air. Look out for locals spotting hits to know where to ride. Carvers have plenty of flats to ride, hard and fast blacks or more sedate trails off the Tosa Espiolets chair. Beginners have a great little mountain to explore with lots of easy runs to learn on.
