Like neighbouring Morzine, Chalet offers a blend of attractions that are uncommon in france - an old village with plenty of facilities, cheap accommodation by france standards.     The Portes su Soleil is fantastic all round as a snowboard region with some major piste and off-piste to shred. Avoriaz is seen by many as the snowboard capital of Europe. The whole area offers trees, big cliff drops, powder bowls or easy wide flats, it's all here! Freestylers, Carvers and Beginners will find terrain to suit their every need.
